Elisabeth Erekson, MD, MPH, FACOG, FACS, is a board-certified surgeon in the sub-specialty of female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery and the specialty of obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Erekson is the interim chair of the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and the Clinical Vice-President of Women’s Health Services at Dartmouth-Hitchcock. She holds a joint appointment The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy & Clinical Practice specializing in health services research related to women’s health. Her current research projects include claims-data linkage analyses of population-based cohort studies. Dr. Erekson has successfully published 40 peer-reviewed research articles on the epidemiology of surgical treatments of gynecologic disorders, predictors of postoperative complications after gynecologic surgery and improving surgical outcomes in the older women.
